The Association of the Friends of Saint Céneri are organising the 21st Rencontre des Peintres (outdoor artists exhibition). This will take place over Pentecost weekend, May 26th, 27th and 28th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. More than 35 artists and sculptors are exhibiting in different venues lent by the inhabitants.
This year the association will be welcoming two selected artists in residence from May 19th to May 29th, Dominique GAIS artist Alain GEOFFROY, photographer. The objective is to stimulate the visitors vision by showing visitors photos of selected views of St Céneri. The photos will be retouched by an artist painting them.
As usual every year a Tribute is paid to an artist having frequented the village. For 2007 it will be paid to Catherine BAUGE-DESCA who left us in 2006 and whose workshop will be open to the public. The company DALBE, specialist in all aspects of art and its creation,is the major sponsor of this year’s Rencontre des Peintres.
More than 12 000 visitors are expected.

A novelty this year is the introduction of a Public Prize. Vistors will be invited to award a prize to an artist whom they have particularly appreciated. This prize will be presented on Monday May 28th at 6 p.m. at the Association’s Office.
A special effort will be made for the access of persons with difficult mobility. (car park near to the village, route de Saint-Pierre des Nids et parking reserved for handicapped persons, route de Moulins le Carbonnel (on presentation of badge).
Access to the exhibitions are free of charge. During the three days the village is closed to traffic
